The Love Bugs is an award-winning short documentary that tells the extraordinary story of Lois and Charlie O’Brien, a married entomologist duo who spent over 60 years traveling to more than 67 countries, quietly amassing the world’s largest private collection of insects—over one million specimens. Now, after a lifetime of research, teaching, and unwavering dedication to both their work and each other, they face the emotional decision to give their entire collection away.

Through poetic and impassioned storytelling, The Love Bugs offers a humorous and deeply touching exploration of love, passion and legacy.
