Sangita
Editing and story advising by Chelsea Jackson for Director Holly Johnson and Daya International
2.5 Minutes | 2018
Twenty-year-old Sangita was raised in an orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal after her Mom died when she was young. Despite not having much while growing up, Sangita says “I’ve got everything I need” because of her generous and loving adoptive parents. Through the non-profit, Daya International, Sangita and three of her orphaned sisters were able to attend college in Kathmandu in 2017. They were the first children in an orphanage of 30 children to have the opportunity to further their education. Our goal with all the profiles in this series is to help raise funds so many other orphans in Nepal can attend college and realize their dreams.
