Montana's Urban Campers and Mansions | More Perfect Union

Rob Jackson was cinematographer for More Perfect Union

15 minutes | 2024

Workers in Bozeman and Big Sky, Montana are sleeping in vans, while the uber-rich buy massive mansions next door. Montana’s Republican governors promised that huge tax cuts would be a boon to the economy. Instead, they’re a giveaway to billionaires and private equity firms.

Cinematographer Notes: Rob travelled to Bozeman, Butte, and Big Sky, Montana for this documentary-style news gathering production with producer Brooke Darrah Shuman and More Perfect Union. Filming was comprised of on-the-fly interviews, b-roll filming and aerial cinematography, as well as a couple minimally lit sit down interviews. Special thanks to everyone who was willing to appear on camera and share their personal experiences as well as provide the information to make this video possible.
